What is Roundhay?

Roundhay is a platform for university students to share and discover short films. Named after the oldest surviving film, we are building a home for the next generation of filmmakers.

Who can upload films?

Currently, uploads are available to verified university students. You can request upload access after creating an account.

What formats are supported?

We accept most common video formats including MP4, MOV, AVI, and MKV. Videos are automatically encoded into adaptive HLS streams for the best playback experience.

Is there a file size limit?

Individual uploads can be up to 5 GB. We recommend keeping short films under 20 minutes for the best viewer engagement.

How do reactions work?

You can react to films with popcorn (enjoyed watching) or the clapperboard (outstanding filmmaking). You need to be logged in to react.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Contact us and we will process your request and remove all associated data.
